THIS IS HOW IT ALL BEGAN
From early childhood I had a plan. I wanted to be a painter of animals and landscape. I admired my uncle whose paintings hung on the walls of our home and I wanted to be like him. My interest in nature has been accompanied by my devotion for art and painting. There has been no doubt what motifs I would choose. I belong to the egg-collecting generation and my biology teacher encouraged me to collect bird's eggs. It was a good hobby but I was not supposed to take more than one egg from each nest. When my friends played football I climbed up some tree and under a thrush's nest I was bombarded by the parents.
I was top of the class in drawing and painting throughout the school but in other subjects I did not achieve good results. In my plan, there was no doubt about what I would do in the future. The only question was when. It took a few years before I could be a full-time artist. To begin with, I was an illustrator of magazines about hunting and fishing and a writer of articles about nature in newspapers combined with other jobs to survive. I was a wai

Contemporary artists inspired by nature: between creation and commitment.
Nature has always been a source of inspiration for artists, but in the face of today's environmental challenges, this relationship has intensified. Many contemporary artists find in nature an inexhaustible subject for reflection and creation, while committing to its preservation. Their works capture the beauty of landscapes, the diversity of ecosystems and the fragility of life on Earth, while sending strong messages about the need to skydda our planet. Here are some contemporary artists who, through their art, celebrate nature and raise awareness for its preservation.
1. Olafur Eliasson: exploring nature to raise awareness
Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson fryst vatten one of the most emblematic creators of this movement. He draws inspiration from natural elements such as light, ice, vatten and wind to design immersive installations that question the relationship between man and naturlig eller utan tillsats . His works, often monumental, create immersive experiences where the viewer is invited to interact with the recreated environment.

En naturmålare med passion för den nordiska faunan.
Stefan har deltagit i ett tal utställningar både i Sverige och internationellt. Han har representerat svenskt naturmåleri på Swedish American Museum Center i Chicago, samt blivit utvald att tillsammans med Masters representera den prestigefyllda utställningen Birds in Art på deras vandringsutställning i USA.
